HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
AND WHAT TO EXPECT
Botox
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen and alcohol 48 hours prior
Skip caffeine on the morning of treatment
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
Treatment is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those feeling unwell, anyone on antibiotics in the past two weeks, or those who have had vaccines recently.
Duration
Treatments usually take 60 minutes depending on areas treatment.
Downtime
Minimal downtime expected. Some redness, swelling, or mild bruising may occur, resolving within hours to days.
Results
Initial effects may be seen within a few days, with final results apparent after 2 weeks. Follow-up appointments recommended within 2 to 4 weeks for adjustments if required. Results typically last 3 to 4 months.
Contraindications to Botox
Absolute contraindications to Botox:
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Allergy to Botulinum Toxin or ingredients
Active infection or skin conditions at the injection site
Neuromascular Disorders
Hypersensitivity to Toxins
Keloidal scarring
Relative contraindications to Botox (precautionary)
Certain medications: gentamicin, baclofen, warfarin, ibuprofen, some antibiotics
Compromised immune system
Bleeding disorders
Chronic conditions requiring clearance: uncontrolled diabetes or severe cardiovascular disease

Duration
Treatments usually take 60 minutes depending on areas treatment.
Downtime
Expect some downtime, with potential redness, swelling or bruising lasting a few days to up to 2 weeks. Small lumps may occur but will resolve as the product settles.
Results
Results are immediate but allow 2 weeks for swelling and bruising to subside before assessing final results. Follow-up appointments recommended within 2 to 4 weeks for adjustments as required. Product can last 6 to 12 months but results can vary.
Prior to beginning treatment, it is essential we discuss your current medications and conditions. For instance, certain medications can increase the risk of complications such as bruising, bleeding or altered results.
Contraindications to Dermal Fillers
Absolute contraindications to Dermal Fillers:
Autoimmune or connective tissue disorders
Known allergy or hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine
Pregnant & Breastfeeding
Active infection or inflammation in the proposed site of injections
Relative contraindications to Dermal Fillers (precautionary)
Compromised immune system - higher risk of infection or slower healing
Autoimmune conditions - may delay hypersensitivity reactions.
History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring
Certain medications: Anticoagulants, blood pressure medications, immunosuppressants, corticosteroids (topical and oral corticosteroids can cause skin thinning and weaken the injection site, potentially impacting the filler’s effectiveness).
